We’ve had several reports of scam text messages being received on your company mobile devices, claiming to be from HMRC and EE, amongst others.
Speaking to our EE account manager there is sadly nothing they can offer to prevent these from reaching us.
So, all we can advise is the following:
- HMRC would never text you with a web link, highly unlikely that EE would either. If you are suspicious of the text, do not carry out any instruction from within it.
- NEVER reply to these texts, do NOT text back ‘STOP’.
- NEVER click on any link within these texts.
- Block the number. Instructions* on how to do this from an iPhone are attached.
- You can forward the text to 7726. This reports it to EE.
