Did you know that Edge is the primary and preferred web browser for Manolo Blahnik?

Why?  Because Edge integrates with Microsoft and is managed in our environment, so should you switch company devices (PC/laptop/Mac/iPhone/android) your bookmarks/favourites and passwords go with you as they're saved to your profile.

This won't happen with other browsers.

It also ensures your data is secure in our environment.

Also, did you know that;

  • Edge is built on the same code-base as Chrome, 'Chromium', so essentially they are the same product, but Google accounts cannot be synchronized into our systems.
  • Google can still be your search engine of choice on Edge browser
  • Edge is 'lighter' than Chrome thanks to its 'Sleeping tabs' feature, this feature uses less resources on your device making it more performant
  • Edge has 'collections' so users can open groups of sites (see article Edge - Tab groups for more detail(

Making the switch to Edge is highly recommended, and very straightforward.

Step 1 - Make Edge your default Web browser

  1. Open Edge, click on the ellipsis symbol (three dots) in the top-right, and select 'Settings'

  2. From the left-hand menu, select Default Browser.

  3. Under Default Browser in the main pane, under Default Browser click on 'Make default'

Step 2 - Transfer/copy bookmarks, usernames & passwords

  1. Open a tab in Edge, copy and paste this link edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData into the address bar and press return

  2. Click on 'Choose what to import'

  3. Select the browser you want to copy your data from - whether it's Chrome or Firefox*, select the profile to copy from, and the relevant data you wish to copy over.

  4. Click on Import and your selected data will be copied into Edge.
