When travelling overseas with your Manolo Blahnik devices, please consider these tips and advice;

Power

As well as your charger, remember to bring a power adaptor with you for your trip!

Mobile/Cell phones

Have you communicated to Systems & IT that you are travelling overseas?

If not, please do so well in advance of your trip by logging a ticket on the portal, or via email.

In doing so, we can contact the network provider and ensure that you have a roaming passport enabled to ensure you can roam, and to keep costs down.  Data and call costs outside of contracts can be extortionate, so better to have a roaming passport in place.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

You should always look to connect to a secure Wi-Fi connection, in the available networks list from your phone the secure networks are indicated like so

Some public Wi-Fi networks do not display this symbol, but upon selecting to connect they will ask you to register and abide by their Terms and Conditions for usage.  With reputable firms (e.g. major hotels, telecoms providers), when doing so this will allow you onto their secure network.  If in doubt, do not connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Lost/stolen phone

If your phone is stolen, report it immediately to the local police (to obtain a crime reference number), and to the Legal and Systems & IT teams.

If you lose your device, immediately inform the Legal and Systems & IT teams.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

As with your phone, you should always look to connect to a secure Wi-Fi connection, in the available networks list from your device the secure networks are indicated like so

If you connect to a Wi-Fi network and none of your Microsoft services are working, this means you are connected to an unsecure network!  Immediately disconnect and forget that network.

It is also highly recommended that when using Wi-Fi away from the office, that you utilise the VPN connection available to you to create a secure tunnel and further safeguard company data and devices. How to connect to VPN can be found here;
